While the Cat's away...

Addi and I are living up Theo's trip to Utah. We went to the Children's Museum, then on the very next day she went again with one of her favorite people in the whole world Grandma Lois!
Then on Friday we splurged and went up to New Hampshire to Canobie Lake Park (a "vintage" Lagoon for all you Utahn's)

It was a cloudy day and we were literally the only people in line most of the time.
The operators would just let her go around and around as many times as she wanted.

She was HILARIOUS on the cars, she was so serious while watching the road and turning (hand over hand) nary a smile to be found she was concentrating so hard in those self propelled cars...she thinks she's ready for the real thing

We went on most of the rides together and one of our favorites was the Wipe Out..or the octopus ride as Addi was pleased to call it...she gave it that name after seeing the starfish on the top of the ride. Anyway, it was a spinning ride and we were spinning so hard and fast that it was spinning the drool right out of us! That made us laugh, which made more drool come out and that made us laugh even harder....oh boy...good times.

It got a little warmer as the day went on and we got brave enough to ride....THE BOSTON TEA PARTY dun...dun...dun!
Basically you get in a boat and plunge straight into the water and everyone gets soaked.

We were there for 5 hours and came home exhausted and sticky with cotton candy...great day.

How fun!!! I wish I could still go on rides like that, but the throw up would not be a pretty sight! I'm going to have to take motion sickness pills or something if I am ever going to be able to do things like this with my kids.
I think your quilt is REALLY cute! I'm sorry after all that sweat, blood & tears you don't love it. I do think it will grow on you though. Some day you will be happy you did it.
