Temple Square

We went to Temple Square one of the days. It was really fun.

Dancing at Temple Square

Addi and Gabi made good use of the famous kissing platform.

Before we came to Utah Addi saw a picture of the Christus in the Ensign, she was fascinated by it and wanted to know all about it so we HAD to take her to it while we were there. She loved walking up the ramp and looking at the beautiful paintings. She was a little nervous to get any closer than the benches at first but she quickly warmed up took a closer look.

Family Reunion Day II

The next morning was beautiful and we were able to do all of the outdoor activites, plus spend much of the day playing in the cool blow-up bouncy thing the Brey's let us borrow.

Addi and Savannah

We tried (and FAILED) to get a picture of all the kids smiling and looking like they were having fun.
I think we got our hopes up and attempted the impossible....well...at least we tried.
**for those who don't know the children here is a left to right breakdown**
Gracie (sister (2)), Savannah (sister(3)), Madi (Jason's) Damien (Jason's), Haylee (sister (6)), Gabi (Ashley's), and Addi

Do I hear Happiness?

Lip Sync

This year's lip sync did not have as many entries as we we would have liked but we were entertained all the same.
Addi (with help from Mom and Dad) performed the kickin' karate song "Let's Get Down To Business" from Mulan.
Savannah, Haylee and Madi perfomred "Fabulous" from High School Musical 2

Addi and the "Fabulous" girls tied for first.
(little Gabi in front just wanted to be part of the group)

Let's Get Down to Business

Addi got a little stage fright and forgot (or chose not to do) the moves. So being the supportive mother that I am I stepped in with some improv moves of my own.

Obstacle Course

After everyone got set up it was time for the obstacle course. It was tons of fun!
(don't forget to watch the live version of the race at the end of the pictures)

Obstacle Course

This course was a rigorous test of skill and accuracy....as you can see.

Kleinman Family Reunion '08

Our theme this year was
"Kleinman United"
We kicked off the festivities with a good old fashoned hot dog and marshmallow roast in the back yard. Unfortunately the weather was not very pleasant, so we had the hot dogs inside, and we were very quick about the marshmallows.

What you want is a nice even browning on the marshmallow
I think this one erupted in flames just a few moments after the picture was taken.

LOVED the s'mores

Did NOT love the marshmallow all over her face.

It was freezing outside and Kris and Ryan were too cool to wear their coats.
(actually they gave them to their wives...what swell guys!)

I'm not proud, I'll wear a parka in May if I have to.

To my Mom

I know this is late but we just arrived back in town a few days ago from a fun filled trip to U-to the-tah (which I will be blogging about soon).

But I didn't want to miss an opportunity to tell the world the top ten things I love about the most incredible mother ever!

10. She still does back flips on the trampoline at age 48
9. Her funny childhood stories (goober peas, horses, dancing)
8. The competitive nature that erupts at the meets and games of her children "WHAT'S UP NOW DANNY BATES?!!!"
7. Her teen-age journals... hilarious and inspiring.
6. She never gives up on anyone, even when she wants to.
5. Her unblinking courage in the face of adversity.
4. Her example of reliance and confidence in the spirit and his promptings.
3. Her ability to detect and nurture the talents in her children.
2. Her determination to do whatever God wants her to do...no matter how hard.
1. Her unfailing determination to prove that CHARITY NEVER FAILETH!

I love you Mom.

Get Funky

After the more formal ballet dance the girls let loose to Axel F in a "spotlight dance"

(this one is kind of long, feel free to stop it at any time)

Spring Concert

It's important not to get too hyper before a performance so you don't use up your energy before you go on stage, these girls have it down to a science!

Dancing Days

I started teaching this little dance class last fall when Jerusha, Saydi and myself decided that we didn't want to pay some hoochie teen-agers hundreds of dollars to teach our girls "ballet" to Wiggles music.
I decided I could do just as well if not better. Our apartment building has a cool aerobic room complete with a mirrored wall and a small barre just perfect for little girls, and we got Ashley, Addi's cousin to join in and Angi's School of Dance was born. We have had some tears, some scuffles, but mostly, we've had TONS OF FUN!!
This was our last week and our Spring Concert.
