We set out on Friday evening for Palmyra, NY. We are trying to take advantage of our proximity to Church and other Historical sights when we can, and Palmyra is a mere 6 hour drive...that's like going to Vegas back home. We arrived late on Friday night and were up early on Saturday ready to "see something."
The hike up the Hill Cummorah is steep but not too strenuous to stop for a pose.
The monument at the top is quite spectacular with Moroni on the Top.
(the "smoke" you see is a cloud but I thought it was a cool effect)

We then went to the Grandin Printing Press where the Book of Mormon was originally printed. It was very interesting to see the whole process...no wonder books were such a prized possesion in those days!
At this point it was getting pretty hot and we decided a refreshing dip in the pool and a nap was just what we needed before the pageant that night.

How fun! I wish we could bonanza back there. You are the cutest family!
