You've Had a Birthday Shout Hooray!

The plans for this birthday started way back at Christmas.
Addi really wanted an Easy Bake Oven for Christmas, unfortunately Santa couldn't swing that soooo he sent a box cake and a container of frosting to use in the REAL oven!
Addi was a little disappointed but she began hatching plans about when the best time would be to use the cake mix. She decided that Dad's birthday would be the best and she would make it herself.
And the day finally came!
Since Randall has a crazy school schedule, he doesn't get out of class until after she's asleep so we decided to celebrate his birthday today. (The 2nd is the real day)
She made the cake with only a little assistance and decorated it completely by herself.
You'll notice there are 3 single candles and one "4" candle, obviously=34.

Can I Get That in Bulk?

Maybe it's because I grew up with so many kids but for some reason I feel like I have to do everything in bulk.
I just love the look of everything all lined up.
A couple of the crayon rolls (with their matching smock) went to the Pre-school auction but the other three are up for sale in my shop.

Springtime in the Shop

We've been enjoying amazing weather and an early spring here in the Pacific Northwest.
And to celebrate my SHOP is chock full of aprons
I happen to love the little girl ones, I call them
"Bloomin' Aprons"
{don't worry folks I think I'm officially aproned out and there'll be new surprises soon}

Ahhhh Childhood

A pair of new (to you) rollerskates
Homemade nighty that makes you feel like a princess
The hope of beautiful hair in the morning.
Does it get any better than this?

The Crab Pot Party

A MUST VISIT when you're here in Seattle.
We came here with our friends for Addi's little best friend's birthday...good times.
The bibs were not only functional but stunningly flattering.

Here's Addi and the birthday girl with their bibs and tools.

That's right ladies...he's taken.

So here's how it goes down. The table is covered in paper and they just dump pots of freshly steamed seafood all over the table and you just dig in...this is my kind of eating!

After our feast we headed to the YMCA for a swim.
There are NO swimming suit pictures for a reason.
While everyone was getting dressed after swimming Addi methodically brushed out everyone's hair.
Here we see the 'huggy-hairdo' technique. I believe I can boast the development of this procedure (at least in my own family). Where the brushee turns to face the brusher and hugs them while the brusher goes at those tangles. The brushee is then able to squeeze the brusher as needed...it's the same idea as biting on a bullet...just lovey-er.

Head #2

Even the mom's got a complimentary style.

Hair dryers.

On our way to cake and ice cream.
Happy Birthday K!
Thanks for a great party!
