...One for Me

After I made that skirt for Addi I was feeling left out so I made one for myself...I know I should have been packing but I've got to look my best this Sunday for the primary program!

Flower detail...Addi was so jealous!

In The Bag

This little outfit has just been packed in my bag so I can hand deliver it to my new niece.

This is NOT a Drill!!

We're packing it up today folks and we'll be on our way in a few days...

Boston....it's been real.

Little Red Riding Skirt

This is a skirt I made from some of the fancy fabric I got on my fancy trip to that fancy fabric shop in fancy NYC. And I think it turned out....FANCY!...if I do say so myself

Pool Jumping...the photos

So these are the stills of the jumps on the videos from before. I just think it looks cool when we're hanging in the air.
It has been so hot and humid and our little window A/C units haven't been helping so we were at this pool every day last week and it's looking the same for this week. Luckily the Genzale's are good friends and they don't mind us barging in everyday...at least that's what they say.

We all know how this dive ends...

At the Pool

This is the first of a few videos of us haning out and doing our tricks at the G's pool. We've been there almost daily to beat the heat and humidity.

Amazing Dive

...and a pretty good ending

A Run and A Jump

Another daring pool jump

Triple Treat

Just being funny...and I am.

Back to School Quilt

This is one of the reasons I've been in RI so much. I've been using Julie's quilting table to machine quilt this:
It's hard to see but there are cute little Dick & Jane scenes every other row.
This is my first attempt at doing something fancy on the back. These are just some scraps I appliqued. Also don't look to closely at the stitching it's a little rough...it was my first attempt and you can't really tell from far away....as with all my creations....better from a distance.

Good-Bye RI

We took a final trip to visit our friends in RI.
We've only known them a short time but we love these guys.
Addi has so much fun with these boys and they're so sweet to her....except sometimes on "Wii Day"
Addi and G hung out all weekend playing in the pool, watching Harry Potter and just....talking.
I can't imagine what they talk about for so long and every time I try to eavesdrop I get caught...I guess it's just between them.

Maine

We got a crazy idea one day to head up to Maine...OK really I wanted to go to the Crate & Barrel outlet store. But we haven't been up to Maine yet so we decided it was as good a day as any.
After our Crate & Barrel shopping we went to York Beach near by. There were some cool rocks to climb on and a playground as well.
Lately Addi has been very UNCOOPERATIVE when it comes to getting her picture taken. But she was all about it this day posing and smiling.... Then she got a little carried away...

P.S. it was freezing

Beach + Friends

I know there have been a lot of beach posts but I would like you to know that there are many beach days I don't post.
This one was special because we reunited with friends that have been gone for a while. We needed to get some more fun in together before we leave.
Addi LOVES the water. No water to cold, or salty.
Here, she is trying to do a handstand like she does in the pool but those waves are crafty!

I think we took over a hole that some "big boys" dug and had jumping contests.

And this is what it's all about for Addi she just loves these girls...they could play and tell secrets all day.

She's a Fish

I know I've posted a lot of swimming pictures but that's about all we've done lately. And it is very rare to even get a picture with her head out of the water. These first pictures are from the frog pond downtown. We didn't have a car this day so we took a bus and the train to get there...we had quite an adventurous day.
At a splash park near Harvard.

And yes, we do have our Dad back. After studying for and taking the Bar we've got him all to ourselves until his LLM program starts in the fall...of course we'll be moving across the country during that time but we're still enjoying all of this "daddy-daughter time" as Addi is pleased to call it.

Plimoth Plantation

Free Friday!!
They were having some promotion so this Friday was free at the Plantation...which is no small thing. Tickets are over $20 per person. We got there early and visited the 2 villages (Indian and Colonial) and made it out in time for lunch.
I think this was Addi's favorite part of the whole thing. This is the Indian village where the women and a little girl (she was very excited to see someone her size) were cooking a fresh fish over a fire (you can see it in the bottom corner) and sewing moccasins.

Thatched roof in the Colonial village

Addi didn't like going into the houses or huts but she would stand in the doorway and look in.
Here goaty, goaty, goaty...

Ice Cream for Dinner!!!

It took her over a year and this week she cashed in. Ice cream of choice....Mint Oreo.
