CUTstitchLOVE
Well I finally did it! I opened an Etsy shop! It's named CUTstitchLOVE. I just put some aprons in there and I hope to have more things coming soon. I am definitely a beginner as far as snazzy pictures and shop design go but it's functional for now. I hope you like it!

...that explains it.
Mom: Your toe nails look like they belong to a wild animal.
Addi: It's because I'm growing up to be a lion.

Ironing Board Cover Tutorial
My trusty old ironing board was looking quite sad. Dingy and full of holes she needed a new gown. So here's how it went:
I snipped the ties and laid the cover out flat over my fabric and used it as a pattern.
Once it was cut out I took one of the greatest inventions known to man FOE!! (fold over elastic) and went around the perimeter with it.
I used that 3 stitch zig zag setting...I don't know the technical term but on my machine it's the "D" setting. There's a GREAT tutorial if you aren't familiar with how to use FOE.
So it came out looking like a bunchy crescent rollYou can whip it on and off to launder and "it ain't no big thang"
DISCLAIMER: The fit isn't perfect, it could have been a little tighter...maybe if I would have pulled my FOE a little tighter? Anyway I just took 3 small safety pins and tightened up the corners and it works like a dream.

Not Too Shabby
Much to Randall's chagrin I am not really a "husband gusher" by nature. But he really is awesome. We just got the letter this morning that he passed the NY bar! (not one of the easier bar exams) And not even by the skin of his teeth. I'll not to dampend the mood with reminders about finishing his LLM and finding a JOB. Today we're just proud of him.Posted by Angi at 11:07 AM 13 comments

A Gown for Gabi
My cute little niece Gabi was born with a venous malformation on her left cheek. It's not painful but if left untreated it will continue to grow. Threatening her left eye and proper use of her mouth. She goes to Colorado every six weeks for treatment. She has had 13 treatments so far and they think she's about half-way there. My sister mentioned to me that the hospital gowns are uncomfortable and threadbare so I thought I'd whip up a little gown that would hopefully make the process a little more comfortable.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your gold hair...
Actual trick-or-treating is always too dark to capture so we donned the costume, went to a "popsicle stick" park near by and pretended we were in a fairy tale.

Field Trip!!
Addi has been mourning the loss of her favorite Haunted Hayride at Wilson Farms in Lexington.
The pre-school's field trip to a farm/pumpkin patch almost made up for it...almost.
CHEESE!
